You entered into the spirit of ceremony by responding to the intensity of feeling and yet made it warm, affectionate and fun.
We hope many other couples can benefit from your skill and experience.
This type of celebration ceremony would normally happen after the legal preliminaries of either a Marriage or Civil Partnership have taken place. It can take the form and content of either a Marriage or Civil Partnership ceremony, but it will be conducted in a location of your choice that is special to you.
If you have already been through a legal Marriage or Civil Partnership ceremony abroad, this is an ideal way of celebrating your Marriage or Partnership with your friends and family in this country.
You may like a celebration ceremony to renew your vows, or a ceremony that reflects the values you have acquired as you have changed and grown in your relationship over the years - maybe to celebrate and signify a special anniversary. It can follow any form you choose, depending on what feels comfortable for you.
We will work with you as a couple to craft a ceremony that is reflective of your feelings, ideals, and your intentions. The promises or vows you make to each other on the day will be those you are comfortable with.
At the conclusion of your ceremony you will be presented with a Certificate which will be signed by you, your witnesses, and our Celebrant, for you to keep as a treasured memento of your special day.
Our services are commemorative only and have no legal standing.
A commitment ceremony is similar in form and content to either a marriage or civil partnership ceremony. This may also suit couples that wish to remain single but wish to celebrate their relationship by expressing their feelings in the presence of family, friends, or just to each other.
Terminology can be different depending on your wishes. You can have a ceremony that closely follows a traditional marriage or partnership ceremony or one that is contemporary to reflect your feelings as a couple.

At the naming ceremony, we will speak about the hopes and wishes you have for your child, and the significance of their name. We also involve the guardians or mentors or “godparents” at the ceremony. They will be asked to make promises to provide love, support and guidance to your child. The promises that you and the guardians make will be those you choose.
A naming ceremony can be held for babies and also older children as well.
The naming ceremony can reflect the values you hold, and these may be reflected in the readings you choose for your ceremony.
A very special touch for your ceremony can be for all the guests to speak aloud a wish or quality for the child – “may you always feel love”, “may you have good health”, “may you smile often”. If you wish to include this in your ceremony, it is good to let your guests know in advance so that they can think about what they would like to say. It does not matter if two or more guests wish the same thing – it just adds more energy to that blessing.
Your ceremony will also include readings (poems or prose that you choose to suit the ceremony you want) and may include candle lighting.
A naming ceremony does not take the place of a baptism or christening as it is not religious. You can however still appoint “godparents” if you are comfortable with that term. For those who prefer another term, guardians, mentors, or supporting adults, are appointed for the baby or child. Another term you may consider if you have a connection with mother earth is “earth-mother parents”.
At the conclusion of your ceremony you will be provided with a Naming Certificate and also Certificates for each of the guardians / “godparents”.
